The Role: Sensus, a Xylem brand, seeks to hire a Software Engineer as a member of the Distribution Automation Software Applications team. The candidate will design, develop, and unit test software applications. The successful candidate will have the ability to succeed in a fast paced, fluid environment, while ensuring that project initiatives are met. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

Candidates should have solid teamwork skills, leadership ability, problem solving skills, analytical thinking, multi-tasking, verbal communication skills, and a sense of humor.

Enjoy working in a fast-paced agile based environment using Scrum

Strong sense of ownership and drive as well as customer focus

Previous experience preferred in the following:

    • Git experience
    • JavaScript
    • Electron
    • Mocha test framework
    • Node.JS
    • C# and/or Java
    • .NET
    • Redis

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 1-5 years of experience in a software development related field
  • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • UNIX/Linux experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of developers and quality engineers to meet aggressive goals and high quality standards

SALARY: The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
