Location: REMOTE
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Software engineer.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing, and documenting efficient, robust, and maintainable software in tandem with the firmware team
• Maintaining and improving existing software, primarily the cross-platform mobile app
• Participating in the design of secure communications protocols
• Working with customers and POCs to integrate feedback into our engineering roadmap
• Maintaining internal manufacturing tools and the server
• Integrating third-party software libraries and working with third-party vendors to resolve problems with integration
• Adding to and maintaining architectural and codebase documentation
• Familiarizing yourself with new technologies as required for development

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Strong C++, Java and Python skills
• Familiarity with cryptography and secure programming principles
• Java Card experience a plus
• Linux and MacOS development experience a plus
• iOS and Android development experience a plus
• Familiarity with Qt and QML a plus
• Experience building cross-platform applications
• Experience developing a project from scratch including design, implementation, testing, and deployment
• Familiarity with networking and wireless protocols encouraged
• Skilled at diagnosing and debugging software issues
• Experience with Agile/Lean software development methodology a plus
• You should also be able to: work independently and contribute ideas and solutions to complex problems
