Job Description

As part of the Standard Wireless Access Team, we're involved in the network transformation of the wireless infrastructure. We help create industry leading base band solutions, for virtualized open RAN (Radio Access Network), and we're looking for innovative people to help drive next generation architecture.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Systems software development for wireless virtualized RAN applications running on Intel Architecture .
  • Develop and integrate device drivers, operators, x-apps, utilities with multiple RTOS (open source and commercial) for wireless RAN applications running on Intel hardware for fully cloud native, and microservices based solutions .
  • Develop modular software for large scale, fully automated, and zero-touch production deployments .
  • Help design scalable software architectures that run in virtualized environments while meeting real-time requirements of next generation wireless network.
  • Innovate using industry leading hardware and software technologies to realize the full capacity of silicon for L1 through packet core and network stack workloads.
  • Code, document, design, and release according to latest industry proven software processes.
  • Create software that is modular, well documented, and with fully integrated diagnostics to minimize resolution time for reported defects and maximize code reuse.
  • Deliver production quality software for large scale wireless production deployments through CI/CD validation testing of functionality and performance.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in the following areas:

  • C/C++ and debugging skills.
  • Wireless technologies : LTE and next gen 5G standards or similar real-time embedded application experience.
  • RTOS experience, preferably RT Linux (Kernel and user space)
  • Developing device drivers, multi-threaded programming or similar experience.



Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud native architectures
  • Experience with Networking protocols .
  • Experience with ciphering (IP and radio), transport layer and IP stack.
  • Experience with software development life cycle.
