Who you are:

We’re looking for a Software Engineer - UX to be responsible for developing impactful customer features and services for web-based applications. Work with NodeJS, React/Redux, and Typescripts to develop front-end applications. Improve the Dataminr web application and alerting experiences by building new features as well as maintaining and improving the resiliency of the internal systems by incorporating React with Redux. Refactor the web application using Typescript to reduce runtime errors, facilitating a coordinated development environment and improved efficiency for debugging of a rapidly growing code-base. Interact with SQL databases such as Postgres SQL or MySQL. Incorporated customer-based knowledge to create a UX (user experience) that is easier to navigate and increase retention rate on the client application.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Must also have demonstrated ability with each of the following:


    1. Working with JavaScript, such as callbacks, higher order function, closure, scope, execution context, and asynchronous;
    2. Manipulating web and cross-platform technologies, including Nod.js, GraphQL, React, SQL databases (PostgresSQL and MySQL); and
    3. Incorporating Node.js for real-time web application with push capability.
  • Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master’s program. Will accept experience gained concurrently.
