SUMMARY

Artera is looking for a talented Software Engineer in Test to join our fast-paced, growing engineering department. The Software Engineer in Test is a critical role that contributes directly to the stability of the Artera product, its usability, and the speed at which the product can be improved. As a Software Engineer in Test, you will be closely collaborating with the entire Innovation Organization to ensure the best-possible product is delivered to our customers and users. 

Leveraging your engineering abilities, you will work quickly and efficiently test our product and guard against defects. You will also be flexible and adaptable enough to thrive in a fluid startup environment.

This role reports to the Senior Quality Assurance Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop automated tests for all technologies at Artera
• Maintain testing pipelines and results
• Collaboratively create test plans with Product and Engineering to ensure comprehensive coverage
• Identify components in need of testing and prioritize the automation of those tests
• Create and manage defect tickets for new and existing functionality
• Be a champion of Agile and its methodologies
• Be a “Beacon of Quality.” You emanate high quality practices and inspire others to do the same

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree, ideally in STEM, OR relevant technical experience
• 3-6 years of experience developing automated tests in a professional environment
• Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals
• Excellent troubleshooting ability
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Excellent communicator, both verbal and written

BONUS

• Proficiency with Typescript
• Experience with a testing framework like pytest, jest, cucumber, or mocha
• Experience with Jira, Testrail, and Selenium or Playwright
• An eagerness to learn and openness to feedback

SALARY RANGE

Actual base salary will depend on experience, skills, education, geographic location, and/or internal equity.

$102,000 - $136,000
