About the team
FIS Execution Services is a top ranked algorithmic trading service provider for North American equities and the analytics team plays a vital role in monitoring, maintaining and improving these services.
What you will be doing
You will develop, enhance, optimize and maintain trade cost analysis systems and applications in order to provide automated data analysis solutions for internal product development, trading, and sales teams as well as for customers.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and code new applications and tools to assist internal teams in analyzing and presenting trading data.
• Maintain and enhance existing analytics apps and systems in an ever-changing environment.
• Delve into data related issues to determine where there are problems and the best ways to address them.
• Configure and automate new periodic reports as needed.
• Working with systems teams to optimize performance.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• 3+ years experience coding in a production environment
• Strong skills with SQL and database schemas
• Must be very detail oriented with strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to present data to users with a multitude of needs and perspectives
• Must communicate effectively with customers and co-workers

Preferred Qualifications
Technical Skills:

• Experience with statistics is a plus
• Technical Expertise with Java, Kotlin, Perl, jQuery/JavaScript, PHP, and Oracle or SQLite SQL
• Knowledge of Transaction Cost Analysis is a plus
