Software Engineer, Senior

The Challenge:

Are you looking for an opportunity to not just develop sof tware, but to help build a system that will have an immense impact on clients in the defense industry? As a full stack developer, you can solve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast-paced, agile environment. We're looking for a developer with the skills needed to build front and back end Web application frameworks from vision to production-ready system.

We need a full stack developer who will use their passion to learn new tools and te chn iques and identify needed system improvements. Using Agile life cycle development and the git workflow, you'll work with the development team to build Web apps and operationalized data science sof tware engines. You'll analyze the needs and the environment to help make sure the solution the team develops considers the current architecture and operating environment as well as future functionality and enhancements. Join us as we build systems to change the DoD industry for the better. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia .

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with sof tware development, implementation, design, and code review
  • 2+ years of experience with Node.JS, Typescript, and React
  • Experience with REST APIs, Web Sockets, C#, Java, and C++
  • Experience with data streaming te chn ologies and architecture, including distributed message queues and unit test frameworks
  • Experience with implementing relational and NoSQL large-scale data architectures
  • Experience with containerized applications and solutions for scalability, including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Cloudera or Hortonworks products, Impala, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB and CouchDB
  • Experience with Big Data te chn ologies, including Python, Elasticsearch, Solr, Cloudera Search, StreamSets, HBase, Accumulo, Cassandra, Neo4j, ArangoDB, and OrientDB

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Secret clearance is required.

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Colorado: $120,000.00 - $150,000 ( annualized USD )

New York ( including New York City ) : $132,000 - $165,000 ( annualized USD )
