Uniphore, an early leader in Conversational Service Automation (CSA), is looking for a Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer - Front End. Working within Product Engineering, your mission will be to play an active role in recommending adjustments to resolve software issues, improving the functionality of existing software, and ensuring that the design, application, and maintenance of software meets the quality standards of the company. You should also be able to mentor, guide and train other engineers. You should be able to evaluate the product requirements, time limitations and system limitations when developing software and be up-to-date on new technologies and software development practices.


  • Develop creative solutions and write technical design based on the requirements
  • Work closely with peer teams to ensure that applications are written to allow for overall system performance
  • Assist in tuning and optimization
  • Develop and execute unit tests for product components
  • Perform peer code reviews and provide feedback
  • Promote high quality, scalability, and timely completion of projects
  • Apply Agile approach to coordinate development and determine project scope and limitations
  • Meet with the design team to discuss application features and develop web pages as per the mockup provided
  • Research similar application designs and user interface modules and suggest improvements
  • Create application graphical interfaces with enhanced UI features
  • Write the front-end code and building the user interface
  • Integrate the user interface with the back-end APIs
  • Debug code errors and troubleshooting software issues
  • Conduct live application tests and tweaks
  • Update web applications in line with user trends


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Scripting experience in Javascript
  • Good understanding of Data Structures, algorithms and their applications
  • Fully and completely understand system interdependencies and limitations
  • Assist directly and indirectly in the hiring process and development of technical talent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge on HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Jquery, AJAX, Typescript, Class life cycles, SCSS, RXJS, Subjects and directives
  • Sound knowledge on Router navigations, two-way binding (ngModule), data structures, web socket programming
  • Hands on experience in Karma, Angular, nodeJS and Jasmine frameworks
  • Strong knowledge in REST API integrations, response and error handling
  • Good UX design taste
  • Strong hands on experience in Single Page Applications and web 2.0 technologies
