Summary:
As a Software Engineer on the MobiusX product team at Tinuiti, you’ll have the opportunity to build out new data analytics features using approaches that make it a delight to be a developer. You’ll create GraphQL APIs with Ruby on Rails 6 and Apollo, crafting elegant data contracts hand-in-hand with front end React developers, and think deeply about performance and usability when working against large-scale BigQuery data sets. You’ll have time to pair program with other devs on the team, write functional tests that leave the code better than you found it, and have genuine input on how solutions to problems are considered and crafted with product and design as you gain a deep understanding of our users.
Responsibilities:
- Develop GraphQL APIs to create data contracts in collaboration with visualization engineers
- Create performant data access layers against BigQuery to ensure responsive, usable, and correct data sets
- Improve quality by writing both unit tests and behavioral tests
- Contribute to continuous improvements to the team’s processes, methodologies, and technologies
- Brainstorm with product management and partner teams about new ideas, technical design, and project plans
- Collaborate to solve the need of the moment while planning for the future
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience as a professional software developer preferably in one of the following languages and frameworks (JavaScript + Nodejs, Ruby + Rails, Python + Django)
- Comfortable creating GraphQL APIs
- Proficient with writing and debugging SQL
- A strong passion for writing simple, clean and efficient code
- Experience with at least one of the following (Git, Github, Gitlab).
- Ability to work in a team

- A desire for continued learning and improvement
