Do you want to drive business strategy and define products for software and digital experiences? Enterprise Connectivity (EC) Business Operations team is a fast-paced team that translates those strategic choices into tangible business propositions. We represent the voice of the customer as we build distinctive, always-on connected vehicle technologies and services that transform the ownership experience
What you'll be able to do:

  • Develop application software and RESTful services using Google Cloud Run/Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Spring Framework
  • Build distributed, service-oriented, cloud micro service-based architectures
  • Continuous improvement approach and mentality
  • Engage in Test Driven Development and code pairing/mobbing practices
  • Develop components across all tiers of the application stack
  • Continuously integrate and deploy developed software; modify CICD pipeline and scripts to improve continuous integration practices
  • Collaborate with product manager to identify minimal viable product and decompose features by story slicing
  • Collaborate with other product teams to remove dependencies allowing flawless integration, testing, and deployments
  • Maintain and provide support to live applications and continuously focus on improving availability/performance/scalability of the system.

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
  • 3 + years of Java and Spring Boot development experience.
  • 3+ years of Relational database experience (DDL, DML or similar)
  • 2+ + years of experience with cloud environments (Google Cloud, Azure, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS or similar)
  • 2 + years of experience with Agile, TDD, and Microservice Architecture

Our preferred qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical engineering or related field
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative, extreme agile development team with business and development partners
  • 3 + years of experience in React or Angular
  • 2 + years of DevOps experience
  • 2 + years of experience with Swagger, logging/tracing, Circuit Breaker / Hystrix, Spring security, and SonarQube
  • Comprehensive understanding of relational database, SQL, NoSQL database, and flat file processing concepts
  • 2 + years of experience with TDD, pair programming, and continuous deployment (Jenkins CI or similar)
  • Experience in application testing, release management, and support activities
  • Understanding ownership of product end-to-end (goals, strategy, development, testing, launch, and support)
  • Ability to work independently, thought leadership, forward thinking
  • Excellence in conflict management, customer relationships, and communication skills
  • Experience in cloud services engineering, including Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF - Gradle, GitHub, Spring MVC+Boot+JDBC), RESTful services, CI/CD pipeline)
  • Understanding Spring Cloud Data, Spring Security, OAuth, Service monitoring on Cloud
