Software Engineer, RAMP
System1 is looking for a Software Engineer that is a curious, innovative, and methodical problem solver to join the RAMP platform team. In this role, you will play a key role in defining, prototyping, and building foundational services for all of System1's application, data engineering, and data science teams. Example of services we build: Ad serving, experimentation, conversion tracking, API gateways, and more. The ideal candidate is a team player, with back-end and some full stack knowledge, but also able to collaborate across a larger platform organization.
What You Can Expect on the Team
- Contribute to the RAMP platform as one of the core developers, help build features that create leverage and drive performance across all of System1 - This includes our ad serving platform, data feeds, internal tools, and experience optimization
- Build, operate, and maintain large web-based systems, RESTful APIs, ETL, and data sets
- Design robust and scalable systems that automate processes and reduce manual business intervention
- Technologies we use - Python, Flask, AWS, Spark, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Apache Airflow, Jenkins, Docker
What You Will Bring
- Demonstrated experience in back-end or full stack development
- Well versed with Python and Python libraries/frameworks or other linux based language
- Passion for leveraging technology to solve problems and maximize productivity
- Experience building scalable and reliable products in the cloud
- Experience with designing, implementing, and using RESTful APIs
- Ability to execute ideas and influence decision making in a clear and effective manner
- Exposure to ad serving systems and reliability requirements a plus
- Airflow or ETL frameworks a plus
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
