Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is seeking an experienced software engineer to join our Odoo MRP team. Working within a small team (4-6 developers) you will create and support systems that have a direct impact on the company's engineering, manufacturing and financial success.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Fulfill the needs of your manufacturing, engineering and finance stakeholders by refining their requirements into user stories and implementing them as high quality, maintainable code
• Become knowledgeable in the business domains relevant to the software you build and operate
• Be a committed member of your self-organizing team by actively participating in team meetings and sharing responsibilities such as code reviews and fixing bugs
• Help your team to continuously improve by contributing to tooling, documentation and development practices

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience writing production code in a professional setting
• Proficiency with Python 3
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment
• Previous experience with Object-Relational Mapping (ORMs)
• Familiar with modern development tools such as Git and GitLab/GitHub
• A basic knowledge of automated testing tools and techniques (e.g., unit testing with unittest/pytest)

Preferred Qualifications

• Some professional experience operating in an Agile (e.g., Scrum or Kanban) team setting
• Previous experience with any of the following frameworks: Odoo/OpenERP, Django, Symfony
• Comfortable troubleshooting and debugging systems, both in development and production environments
• Moderate or above Linux and/or systems administration skills
• Administrative experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, particularly in topics such as replication, backups, and performance tuning
• An ability (and interest) to understand, support, and evolve legacy systems
