Publishers Clearing House (PCH) is currently seeking a passionate, results-oriented Software Engineer who personifies agile principles and values to join our E-Commerce Platform team and help modernize our legacy, enterprise scale, web applications, systems, and services. In this role, you will write high quality, test-driven, cleanly architected, features and functionality in a fast-paced, collaborative Agile/Scrum environment.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Write high quality, clean, maintainable, re-usable, object-oriented, and efficient code
• Frequently check-in code changes to our source control systems utilizing a trunkbased/feature toggled development process
• Manage and maintain continuous integration/deployment pipelines ensuring software is always releasable
• Participate in daily stand-up, user story grooming and team retrospective sessions contributing to the overall requirements gathering, scoping/sizing, architecture/design, planning, and execution processes
• Perform pair-programming, code review and test suite review sessions
• Provide hands-on maintenance and support, investigating and troubleshooting production issues

 Required Skills/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology discipline or equivalent practical experience. Advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years’ technical experience designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable enterprise web applications in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) and Design Patterns
• Exceptional knowledge and skill with .NET/C# (including versions 2.0 – 4.8, ASP.NET Web Forms, WCF, MVC, WebAPI, etc.)
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of product/management in both technical and business functions
• Expertise in Agile engineering practices (i.e. Test-Driven Development, Pair Programming, incremental/iterative delivery, etc.)
• Experience incrementally and continuously delivering application and system changes in a high volume, customer facing environment with minimal downtime/interruption
• Experience working with legacy codebases/architectures
