Job summary
The Red Hat Partner Support Tooling team is looking for a Software Engineer to join us. In this role, you will help us enable business-to-business (B2B) communications with Red Hat's partners, ensuring positive customer experience and outcomes. You will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new offerings. As a Software Engineer, you will also develop software and tools in support of design, infrastructure and technology platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and cloud-based and internet-related tools.
Primary job responsibilities

  • Be an integral contributor in a face-paced, technically challenging environment
  • Seek to understand partner and Red Hat business needs and how these needs facilitate positive customer experiences
  • Apply your experience to design, develop, and implement optimal, win-win technical solutions


Required skills

  • Expert-level Java development engineering skills for middleware including in Java API development, security and AAA, and comms
  • Competent in implementing data-stream parsing and processing, including algorithm development, structured and unstructured data, XML, and queues and service buses (pub-sub model)
  • Solid understanding of middleware and backend workflows
  • Optimization of code for test (tester's mindset)
