Meet the team:

The IT Software Engineering team is responsible for building software that enables the growth and advancement of the enterprise.
You will join an agile development team that is focused on building new solutions and improving existing tooling across the cloud and on premise. Our web applications, services, and desktop applications are used by the entire organization, from finance through engineering and are extensively visible within the company.

What you’ll do: 

• Build and maintain software based in a variety of common languages such as Python and Go
• Work with modern cloud, big data, and deployment technologies (e.g. AWS, Kubernetes, Tanzu, Containers, etc.)
• Participate in code and architectural reviews
• Work closely with a broad range of Argo teams to help to continuously improve existing tools and to discover new opportunities

What you'll need to succeed:

• 2+ years experience in software engineering with a degree in computer science or related field
• Design and implementation of scalable web applications in Python, Go or other similar languages such as Java
• Knowledge of database systems and SQL
• Experience with Containers and Kubernetes
• High level of comfort in Linux, Windows, and MacOS platforms and development tools
• Good communication skills -- verbal and written
• Excellent documentation process

Nice to haves (optional):

• Familiarity working in and building CI/CD pipelines
• Experience building client services and applications
• Experience with web applications and micro services
• Hands on experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Ansible Tower, AWS
• The ability to work across the full development stack if called upon
