Galileo Financial Technologies, LLC seeks Software Engineer III in Sandy, UT:
Job Duties: Work with developers to design algorithms produce clean, efficient code based on
specifications. Integrate software components and third-party programs into current and future
Galileo products and services. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software to fix issues
reported by customers and to enhance features and functionality of the Galileo offering.
Recommend and execute improvements in Galileo's Banking APIs, including evolution of the API
service from the current version to the planned version 5 of the Galileo API. Lead the
development and testing of our systems and services. Deliver highly available and scalable
services in a production environment. Write, test, and deploy efficient, scalable code to
production that impacts millions of individuals. Be an integral part the development and testing
of our systems and services. Communicate with project leads, product managers and other
software developers. Architect, design and develop large, complex projects. Apply modern best
practices in designs and implementations. Collaborate with other engineers and teams to
prioritize and ship features. Participate in backlog grooming to scope and estimate new work.
Telecommuting is permitted.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering or related field, and two (2) years of experience in related occupations or
two (2) years of experience in the job offered.
Special Skill Requirements: Requires 2 years of experience with: (1) Programming experience to
code and unit test object oriented Java or other similar platforms (such as TIBCO Technology);
(2) SQL skills or related experience; (3) Experience with one or more of the major database
platforms such as TIBCO (Java Based Technology) or Oracle SQL developer; (4) Experience
working on Linux or Unix based machines; and (5) Experience administrating and configuring
the Apache web server. Telecommuting is permitted.
