Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to work in very high-profile front office trading platform with in JPM Asset management. We are looking for innovative and enthusiastic production support engineers who are passionate about delivering first class client experience. You will be working with a team of talented developers who work in agile environment. This team works very closely with business to deliver innovative, state of the art trading platform. We are very client focused and are committed to exceeding their expectations.
As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase, within the (Asset & Wealth Management, Asset & Wealth Management Tech & Ops) team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities

  • Works closely with clients, vendors, other incident management teams and technical staff by following best SRE practices to identify and resolve Priority/High Severity major production issues and perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to provide long term solutions.
  • Maintains stability of transactions, and troubleshoot middleware, server, load balancer, application, network, database issues on all the environments.
  • Debug issues in the production environment through analyzing logs, collection metrics, and leveraging app-monitoring tools, and create solutions for sustained resiliency.
  • Partner with application development teams to understand new projects, cross-pipeline requirements, and set Production support team expectations.
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems, patterns in data, and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience in system support for critical applications.
  • Hands-on practical experience in Java, JavaScript, Oracle.
  • Experience with scheduler software such Control-M or Autosys, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, new process and tools to deliver secure and scalable application.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies like React.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies.
