We are looking for innovative and enthusiastic production support engineers who are passionate about delivering first class client experience. You will be working with a team of talented developers who work in agile environment. This team works very closely with business to deliver innovative, state of the art trading platform. As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase, within the (Asset & Wealth Management, Asset & Wealth Management Tech & Ops) team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities

• Works closely with clients, vendors, other incident management teams and technical staff by following best SRE practices to identify and resolve Priority/High Severity major production issues and perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to provide long term solutions.
• Maintains stability of transactions, and troubleshoot middleware, server, load balancer, application, network, database issues on all the environments.
• Debug issues in the production environment through analyzing logs, collection metrics, and leveraging app-monitoring tools, and create solutions for sustained resiliency.
• Partner with application development teams to understand new projects, cross-pipeline requirements, and set Production support team expectations.
• Proactively identifies hidden problems, patterns in data, and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system support for critical applications.
• Hands-on practical experience in Java, JavaScript, Oracle.
• Experience with scheduler software such Control-M or Autosys, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, new process and tools to deliver secure and scalable application.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies like React.
• Exposure to cloud technologies.
