Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Customer Service Platforms team based in Dania Beach, FL. The Software Engineer will work with the Customer Service team at Chewy to plan, design, develop and support information systems and solutions which support customer service organizational functions.  Responsibilities include CRM integration with AWS, testing infrastructure creation, day-to-day troubleshooting of system issues, scripting and development needed for Oracle Service Cloud CRM, and documenting & configuring systems. This individual will be required to be familiar with Agile processes and effectively communicate, think analytically, and solve problems.

What You'll Do:

We are looking for a driven individual to take part in our continued rollout of Oracle Service Cloud and related integrations.  As part of the Customer Service Platforms team you'll have diverse responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert for the Agent Experience team on AWS features and functionality
  • Architect and create AWS features
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of several Chewy business processes and systems environment
  • Create customizations to our existing systems using ES6, Code Ignitor, jQuery, Node.js, and other javascript frameworks
  • Monitor alerts and reports to ensure systems are functioning properly
  • Configure and customize the Oracle Service Cloud application
  • Follow established best practices offering repeatable and scalable business processes
  • Interact directly with business users to support solution implementation for business needs
  • Work independently or as a team member and display the ability to coordinate multiple tasks/assignments
  • Take ownership of aspects of our continued effort to deploy a modern microservices based architecture.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and provide solutions for production and development issues
  • Act as an SME to modify and maintain our OCR system

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (MIS or CS preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience including the ability to perform independent analysis
  • 5+ years of experience developing applications in web technologies (ES6, JSON, Node, Java, AWS Lambda, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience working web server technologies
  • 5+ years of experience working with web services (SOAP/HTTP, REST)
  • Strong analytical abilities and a strong intellectual curiosity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities at a given time
  • Must be team oriented and have a customer service mindset
  • Self-driven, able to work independently or within a team setting
  • Results oriented and adaptable
  • A working knowledge of call center/contact center operations and processes including general knowledge of related applications, relational databases, and web technology
  • Position may require travel

Bonus:

  • Experience administering Oracle Service Cloud for large organizations - configurations, workflows, reports, business rules, etc.
  • Comfort working with multiple remote team members
  • Professional Scrum Master Certification
  • Experience using and implementing automated testing
