Collaborates with customers within the team to build and maintain backend services and solutions to support user-facing products, downstream services, or infrastructure tools and platforms used across Uber.
About the Team:
As a Salesforce Developer in the Business Applications team, you will be building Sales Cloud functionality and coordinated platforms for B2B teams across Uber Freight, Uber for Business and other sales teams. Your solutions will have a significant impact on Uber's results in areas of user growth, revenue and global expansion.
The Business Applications team's mission is to allow Uber's staff to be more productive and successful through our technical solutions, service delivery and innovation. Our team supports Sales, Service and Community Operations teams within Uber Freight, Uber for Business and JUMP. We also support Uber's Law Enforcement Response Team improving safety of riders/drivers across the globe. Our team invests in innovation, new business line expansion and integration with external and internal systems.

• Build and optimize Salesforce Sales Cloud functionality for B2B teams
• Solutions will improve lead generation, account management and customer onboarding
• Build and configure APIs with internal and 3rd party cloud solutions
• Check in and deploy code and configurations; participate in release management
• Improve and build solutions to address architectural gaps or technical debt
• Participate in story planning, standups and retrospective
• Update and maintain user documentation for business and compliance purposes
• Monitor performance and scalability and refactor existing sub-optimal features
• Implement with a team of solution architects, program managers and engineers
• Apply overall Salesforce administration standard methodologies in system configuration

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field OR 1-year full-time Software Engineering work experience, WHICH INCLUDES 1-year total technical software engineering experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Programming language (e.g. C, C++, Java, Python, or Go)
• Note the 1-year total of specialized software engineering experience may have been gained through education and full-time work experience, additional training, coursework, research, or similar (OR some combination of these). The year of specialized experience is not necessarily in addition to the years of Education & full-time work experience indicated.

Technical skills:

• Scalability engineering
• Distributed systems
• Minimum of 5+ years of Salesforce application development experience
• Certified Platform App Builder, Platform Developer 1 & 2, Administrator 201
• Expert in Java, Go, Python
• Expert in Lightning, Apex, VisualForce, SOQL/SOSL, and Javascript
• Experienced with Salesforce SOAP API, REST API, and BULK API
• Experienced with Web UI frameworks in Visualforce pages or Lightning components.
• Experienced with data management and data migration principles and application
• Certified Data Architecture and Management Designer, Application Architect
