About the Role
We are a data driven team on a mission to enable developers to deploy changes defect free by developing the tooling and frameworks to automate testing across all Uber backend services. We have the opportunity to make testing a competitive advantage by enabling developers to develop with velocity and deploy with confidence.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of the backend testing systems• Build tooling to enable and implement processes to enable engineers to test consistently with the highest quality across engineering• Automate manual processes around quality and testing of backend services.
What You'll Do
• Experience with building developer productivity tools and frameworks.• Demonstrate the ability to mentor and develop team members• Experience collaborating cross-functionally to build systems, create processes, and facilitate development efforts that enable other engineers to be more productive.• Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels, and to deal with• Contribute to the design and implementation of the backend testing systems• Build tooling to enable and implement processes to enable engineers to test consistently with the highest quality across engineering• Automate manual processes around quality and testing of backend services.
Basic Qualifications
• 2+yrs of experience• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.• Experience building infrastructures, frameworks, and tools to improve developer experience and speed up development, testing and release.• Experience with software development using Java, C/C++, Objective C, Python, JavaScript, or Go.
Preferred Qualifications
• Scalability engineering• Distributed systems
