The Compute, Foundations and Cloud team works on core components on which all other systems at Uber are built on. We power the infrastructure that runs all of Uber. Basic Qualifications
- 2 plus years of experience
- Experience with Go, Java, or C++ (bonus points for more than one).
- Phenomenal social skills, deep technical ability, and a portfolio of successful execution. If you enjoy discussing anything from kernels to datacenters and you measure the success of your projects in "nines," then we want you on the team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Undergraduate degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Design, develop and operate large scale infrastructure services that power all of Uber
- Design large scale distributed systems and author detailed technical documents describing the same
- Write high quality go code to help implement these systems
- Help with operational responsibilities of systems in production
- Prior experience with large scale distributed systems
- Proficiency in Go
- Proficiency in Linux.
