Software Engineer II PH
The Software Engineer II designs and builds web-based user interfaces leveraged by Media Networks content teams in data-rich, real-time, and automation friendly cloud-deployed systems. This position works with creative producers, data-providers, and virtual graphic production teams to create workflows, processes, and interfaces that can be automated or run with ease by human operators from anywhere. The focus of this position is to improve efficiency and user experience through delivering modern real-time graphics control and automation tools content teams can use without having to worry about tedious sub-processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and debug software enhancements for a web-based platform enabling control and customization of real-time graphics.
- Provide ongoing support for developed software, including creating technical documentation and training materials.
- Contribute to the evolution of team UI development standards and best practices.
- Participate in team code shares and code reviews.
- All other duties as assigned by Leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires knowledge and experience in React UI development (3+ years)
- Requires knowledge and experience in Node.js in support of web services (3+ years)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training or work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- User Experience design and requirements gathering
- Knowledge and experience working with AWS
- Familiarity with real-time rendering technology (e.g. Unreal Engine)
- Experience working with real-time data sources and communication protocols
- Experience working in media & entertainment, or related industries
- Experience collaborating with production and content creation teams
- Strong work ethic
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
The hiring range for this remote position is $136,705.00 to $158,290.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
