Develop, test, and support technically complex banking industry process automation solutions. Partner with business product owners to understand the current state and desired outcome, then make thoughtful recommendations during the design phase, and ultimately implement the most correct solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • In an Agile environment, use the UiPath platform plus industry standard best practices to analyze, develop, test, and support Truist business process automation (RPA) initiatives targeting desktop, web, mainframe, API, and database systems in accordance with acceptance criteria established by product owners.
  • Occasionally create lean, rapid prototypes when automating new host applications.
  • Use sophisticated analysis and judgment to conceive innovative, high performance solutions.
  • Interpret business challenges and recommend best practices.
  • Provide technical consultation on challenging or unusual situations.
  • Devise or modify solutions to work around hardware capacity and/or limitations.
  • As the strongest engineer, serve as a technical expert, answering and solving the most complex, unusual issues.
  • Mentor less experienced teammates to build technical expertise.
  • Ensure adherence to company and industry standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and four to seven years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience
  • In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices
  • Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
  • Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices
  • Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree in Computer Science, math or related field of study. Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related degree and eight years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Banking or financial services experience
  • Hands on automation experience with UiPath, Blue Prism, and/or Pega Robotics
  • Experience in architecting and designing automation solutions
  • Coding experience in .NET (C#/VB.NET), Python, JavaScript
  • Experience using web servers, application containers, caching
  • Solid knowledge of relational database design and development
  • Experience with build tools such as Git and Jenkins
  • Experience working with/coordinating offshore resources
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of AWS, Machine Learning, Cognitive Automation, NLP, and Chatbots
  • Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design with strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Professional experience building and scaling high-quality process automation from the ground up
  • Experience with open source tools and frameworks
  • Experience with messaging systems (i.e., MQ and JMS)
