The Business Financial Office Technology team within Finance Technology consists of extremely talented engineers, who develop industry leading financial management platforms that provide solutions to provide Management Reporting & Controls, Disclosure Reporting.
We are looking for looking for a talented and highly motivated Data Stage hands on Developer. The right candidate will help deliver functionality to the chief financial officer's organization to be more effective in managing the bank's overall financial control process.
Role Overview
Developer that will be responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining application used for Independent Price Verification process for the Global Markets business.
Role Specific Responsibilities:
• Reviewing and discussing briefs with key personnel assigned to projects.• Designing and building scalable DataStage solutions.• Configuring clustered and distributed scalable parallel environments.• Updating data within repositories and data warehouses.• Assisting project leaders in determining project timelines and objectives.• Monitoring jobs and identifying bottlenecks in the data processing pipeline.• Testing and troubleshooting problems in system designs and processes.• Improving existing ETL processes for the business.• Providing support to clients about issues relating to the storage, handling, and access of data.
Required Skills and Experience we are Looking For:
• At least 10 years of experience as a DataStage developer.• Proficiency in SQL.• Knowledge of Oracle database• Knowledge of data modeling, database design, and the data warehousing ecosystem.• Skilled at the ideation, design, and deployment of DataStage solutions.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.• The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Desired Skills and Experience we are Looking For:
• Experience and desire to work in an Agile process (pair programming, daily stand-ups, etc.)• Demonstrable knowledge of problem domain in which they have been working• Strong communication skills• Passion to learn new technology.• Relevant industry (banking middle/back office/Finance) experience
