Job Description

What you will be doing
Drive the design, development and implementation of technology solutions. Work with a project team in an Agile development environment to understand requirements, elicit feedback and refine solution through demonstrations. Participate in the entire SDLC, working with Product Managers, clients, other IT partners and vendors in delivering solutions and troubleshooting technical issues during integration and migration of software components.

  • Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related applications.
  • Interacts with product managers, business analysts and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
  • May participate in component and data architecture design as well as performance monitoring.
  • Writes technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements and completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • Works on projects/issues of medium to high complexity that require demonstrated knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments.
  • Completes project assignments and special projects commensurate with job expectations.
  • Suggests technical alternatives and improves/streamlines processes and systems.
  • Ensures designs are compliant with FIS Policies.
  • May train and communicate with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams on systems application.
  • May be responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets and schedules and for documenting work and results.
  • May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.


What you bring

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Technical skills in HP Nonstop kernel, TAL/PTAL, COBOL/SCOBOL, TACL, Enscribe/NSQL, FUP, Pathway
  • Design and/or development Expertise in Connex/Base24 or Base2000 switch, translating customer requirements into technical requirements and implementing the same
  • Capability to liaison with customers, Business Analysts, SMEs, demonstrating good command over product understanding and programming skills and business knowledge.
  • 5+ years expertise in design/code test, implement, maintain and support applications software
  • Must have strong sense of accountability, and commitment to quality and timely work delivery
  • Familiarity with Agile/SAFe Process
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills


Added bonus if you have

  • Familiarity with different ATM vendor and/or processor interfaces
  • Experience with C/C++, ASP.NET, C#, and JavaScript
  • Experience and willingness to do on call support
