Principal Software Engineer - Requirements Management Transformation
Overview

The Micron Engineering Services (EngServ) team provides modern development infrastructure tools to engineering teams throughout Micron. The teams we empower work on next generation memory and storage technology.
As a member of the EngServ Design team, you will have a key role in enabling teams to capture, manage, automate and understand their work. We provide Enterprise-wide support for Jama Connect (requirements management), Atlassian Jira (issue/bug tracking, team planning, work management), Atlassian Confluence (engineering wiki), Atlassian Bitbucket (Git repo hosting and code/branch management), JFrog Artifactory (binary artifact management), Jenkins (build/test/release automation), and other similar tools.
As a member of the EngServ Design team, you will work within a team of highly experienced engineers to build and configure tool solutions for Micron development teams. You will engage in a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities including defining program requirements, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of features, coaching and advising on the best known methods for using our tools, training, development of self-help documentation, and change facilitation.
Qualifications
Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • 8+ years technical coordination and planning experience in system development or enterprise software
  • Proven track record of successfully planning and delivering complex programs in a dynamic, regulated industry
  • Demonstrated success coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of objectives
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and/or training highly technical customers (engineers)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)


Preferred:

  • Knowledge of requirements management systems, automotive product development processes and/or business process design
  • Experience working as a Scrum Master and/or Product Owner
  • Software and/or hardware design and development experience
  • Expertise in tools and methods for:
    • Requirements management
    • Work tracking, issue/bug tracking, business process automation
    • Version control, configuration management


Education:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Computer Science, or similar, or equivalent experience.

The Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires that Micron Technology provide the compensation range offered for this position is performed in Colorado. The base salary range for this position in Colorado is $79,000 to $163,000
