Job Description:

As a Software Engineer at Included Health (formerly known as Grand Rounds, Inc.), you will contribute to business-critical engineering efforts to design, build, and operate the distributed system that makes Included Health’s clinical data and insights available to its diverse products. You will also unify access to and understanding of all Included Health data behind a central collection of services.

Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Implement and operate components of our distributed system on a modern, scalable Scala/Java Virtual Machine-based stack
• Demonstrate proactive, conscientious ownership of team-wide systems and areas of concern (e.g., code reviews, operational documentation, design documents, incident responses/post mortems)
• Contribute impactfully to overall system architecture discussions and documents

• Stellar engineering—you separate concerns and define well-abstracted interfaces, leading to functioning, performant, well-tested, maintainable code and systems with reasonable failure modes

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge in microservices with multi-tenancy.
• Knowledge in distributed systems.
• Knowledge in software engineering in Python, Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Knowledge in software engineering and operating with AWS services.
• Knowledge in data structures and algorithms.
• Knowledge in Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge in serverless data pipelines.
• Knowledge in database design and implementation.
• Knowledge in operating system design.
• Knowledge in machine learning.
• Knowledge in regression and linear models.
• Knowledge in compiler construction.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Salary (Annual): $148,716.00
