As a Member of Technical Staff in Developer Productivity and Enablement you will be improving the productivity of Tableau's engineers as they build and test the next generation of Tableau products.

You'll join the highly collaborative Build Systems team, who often work together as an ensemble building, refactoring, and safe-guarding Tableau's build logic and dev tools.

Role Responsibilities:

• Support the current build systems and help transition to new solutions
• Work across environments, languages, products, and versions
• Deliver quality code and services that are fast, scalable, reliable, and secure
• Monitor and improve the performance of grid and local developer builds
• Partner, collaborate, and problem solve with your team and others

Qualifications & Common Activities:

• Software development interest and ability in multiple technologies that we use:
  
  • We build with CMake, Gradle, and Bazel
  • We write in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, and Groovy
  • We work across AWS, Windows, MacOS, and Linux systems
  • We interact with Git and Perforce repositories for current, future, and past releases
  • We integrate with Dev flows and IDEs; VS, VSCode, JetBrains, CLion, and CLI
• A desire to work in a team coding environment (aka. Ensemble or Mob programming)
• An appreciation of tests, refactoring, safeguarding, and high quality zero bug code
• Examples of working on CI/CD systems in an enterprise, on prem or cloud
• Great communication, collaboration, and empathy.
• A persistent drive to learn and share
• Ability to solve FizzBuzz in an hour and an appreciation of code katas
• A degree in Computer Science with company experience, or equivalent collective experience
