As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing robust, secure and performant backend API’s for our data platform that will improve the patient experience by enabling personalized data for our healthcare applications and mobile solutions.  This role requires a strong competency in backend software, databases and architecture design. Software Engineers are strong technically, have a passion for learning, tinkering with new tech, and a strong desire to own solutions that make an impact.

  • Created an API by implementing the open data protocol to enable fast access to clinical and application information.
  • Wrote high fidelity software that is readable, maintainable and scalable
  • Designed and developed solutions on the data platform using Python, Databases and APIs.

What you might do in your first year:

  • Contribute to the success of our patient identification solution by growing the usage with features that create which enable ease of use, security a better patient experience in our healthcare applications.
  • Become the subject matter expert for our custom-built, ODATA APIs, including configuration, development, integration and customization for complex solutions
  • Work on a team that efficiently solve problems, reviews/approves code and uses software design patterns
  • Directly impact roadmap initiatives both autonomously and collaboratively, while striving to improve quality and velocity on the team

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of system design and build experience with demonstrated success of commercializing the software produced
  • Experience with a server-side language that is not Node (Java, Python, C#, or Ruby)
  • Background in utilizing and integrating 3rd party integrations and application libraries with strict security requirements
  • Skilled at building cost effective, high productivity teams regardless of physical location
  • Proficient SQL skills
  • Track record of successfully executing projects with multiple partners
  • Experience using version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket
  • BS/MS in computer science, math, engineering, or related field

Preferred Skills:

  • Full-time software engineering experience with FHIR API’s is a huge plus
  • An understanding of clinical and financial healthcare data
  • Experience working with relational databases that are not SQL Server
  • Prior involvement in an enterprise-grade, custom built APIs.
