Software Engineer -Back End Developer
Q2 is seeking a Back-End Developer who will be integral to a small, top-talent team tasked with contributing to a growing business in a space that is begging for innovation. You will help plan, design, develop, test, and debug, highly available/scalable applications and services. Our API and Back-end Systems are built using .NET and .NET Core. We are looking for a back-end developer that has exceptional back-end development skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere fanatically to lean software development and continuous delivery methodologies
- Research, architect, and build sub-systems that successfully integrate with new and existing platforms
- Dissolve complex requirements into meaningful, manageable units of work
- Thrive on a small team of highly-skilled, motivated peers
- Apply advanced design patterns and technologies when appropriate without over-engineering solutions
- Proficient in writing scalable/performant SQL
- Write clean/maintainable/testable code using single responsibility principals
- Own the responsibility of developing high-quality software with the right balance of unit tests
- Communicate and document efforts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Refactor existing SQL stored procedures into unit -testable C# code
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience with SQL
- 5+ years of experience with C# and .NET
- 5+ years of experience consuming/creating JSON-based, RESTful APIs
- Experience with test automation frameworks and auto-mocking tooling
- Qualifications that make you stand out over others:
