Role: Software Engineer - AWS, JavaScript, Node.JS
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Hillsboro, OR (100% Remote)

Key Skills: AWS, JavaScript, Node.JS, Jenkins, Docker, AWS Lambda, S3, NoSQL

WHAT YOU BRING
* 3 - 5 years' experience in building cloud-based enterprise systems, ideally on AWS
* Experience working within a collaborative Agile/Scrum environment
* Proficient with JavaScript on frontend (React, TypeScript, etc.) and backend (Node.js) components
* Experience with test driven automation, Continuous Integration and Continuous deployment (Jenkins preferred)
* Experience with Docker and/or serverless patterns
* Experience with AWS Lambda development a plus
* Experience with AWS: S3, Athena, Glue development a plus
* Expertise in designing and building scalable applications
* Expertise in web and web-app patterns
* Expertise in NoSQL datastore systems to build highly scalable solutions ( ElasticSearch preferred)
* Experience with expertise in other modern enterprise languages (functional or other - Scala, Python, etc.)
* Java development experience a plus
* Basic understanding of most of the following: Jira, Jenkins, GitHub, Gatling or equivalent Application Performance Monitoring Tool

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
* Identifying and solving a range of problems in straightforward situations; analyzing possible solutions and assessing each using standard procedures
* Responding to non-standard requests from internal and/or external customers; investigating with assistance from others as needed
* U nderstanding the key business drivers; using this knowledge in your own work
* Acting as a subject matter expert to system owners on industry standards and best practices for performance testing
* Engineering systems and tools that provide actionable performance insights to engineers and leadership
* Handling of Big Data and Data Science Tools in AWS to extract meaningful insights
* Working with analytics tools, such as: New Relic, Signal FX
* Data visualization tools, such as: D3 with NodeJS, Graphana , Kibana
* Developing tools to report Web Page Load Times, and an understanding of: Optimizing Page Speed
