SOFTWARE ENGINEER AUDIO
This role will be a part of the core team leading the development of a cutting-edge augmented reality (AR), location-based mobile game. This role is for engineers interested in designing and building audio spatialization systems for next-generation immersive AR applications. Duties will include the design, implementation, triage, and debug of the audio engine for Stage11’s mobile augmented reality gaming platform. This role will be a part of the core team developing AR and location-based features for a mobile game. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a small project-oriented development team utilizing co-development partners to build fully realized applications on iOS and Android.

What you’ll do:
● Analyze, design, develop and debug real-time audio spatialization systems for AR/VR.
● Implement and maintain audio streaming architecture and maintain synchronization with other data streams. 
● Analyze technical requirements involved in the implementation of new features or modification of existing features.
● Explore new technologies and solve cutting-edge technical challenges.
● Participate in all aspects of the project life-cycle, from design through release.
● Develop software from concept to release, ensuring the product meets specifications resulting in production quality, bug-free code.
● Participate in scoping project features into architecture roadmaps, tasks, and time estimates. 
● Drive and support co-developer partner milestones. 
● Maintain system documentation.

What you’ll bring: 
● Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
● 3-5+ years’ experience in building game audio engines, digital audio workstations, and AR/VR audio experiences.
● Experience with audio and audio streaming in native iOS or Android.
● Background in DSP, signal processing, and audio spatialization.
● Experience with one or more game audio engines: Wwise, FMOD, Unity, and/or Unreal.
● Experience in building C++ based projects.
● Experience building audio IO systems is a big plus.
● Proven track record of software development experience, including shipping one or more products.
● Problem-solving and optimization experience.
● Communication experience and demonstrated experience working across disciplines to drive optimal solutions.
● Ability to plan for code reusability across multiple products.
