Within JPMC, the AI Research team applies novel AI techniques to the toughest challenges in financial services. We are looking for an experienced developer to help us productionize AI Research projects.
Day to day you will work with the AI Research leads and your tech teammates to understand their requirements and execute on development. We typically develop in Python and deploy to platforms such as Kubernetes or AWS Sagemaker. We strive to maintain a modern technology stack so the ability to learn and adapt to new platforms is important.
You will be an individual contributor but there is opportunity to mentor and grow more junior members of the team.
Skills required:

• Up to date proficiency with Python 3.7+ and associated ecosystem (pip, poetry, pytest, etc)
• Experience with Java or other JVM based languages (Groovy, Scala, Kotlin, etc)
• Understanding of modern SDLC tools and practices (CI/CD, Git, Agile, etc)
• Track record of delivery of multiple applications
• Ability to balance competing workloads and changing requirements
• Experience with container technologies like Docker
• Great interpersonal skills and able to interface with a data scientists and quantitative researchers
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience

These additional skills would be a benefit though not required:

• Experience with AI/ML tool sets (spacy, numpy, pandas, etc)
• Command line proficiency (bash, cmd, etc)
• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes
