Software Engineer - Adversary Simulation Engineering

The Team:
The Adversary Simulation Engineering team helps keep Datadog safe by developing tools and frameworks to automate discovery of infrastructure exposure, identify vulnerabilities, and simulate real life attacks within the organization.
The Opportunity:
As a software engineer for the Adversary Simulation Engineering team, you will design, build and integrate tools for various attack phases (reconnaissance, infiltration, persistence), and deploy them on immutable infrastructure. You will collaborate with other security teams to understand the evolving security evasion needs and implement them in offensive tools and systems.
We're looking for engineers experienced in modern infrastructure tech, cloud environments, and distributed systems with an adversarial security mindset.
You Will:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated infrastructure, systems and services that improve offensive security capabilities
- Prototype new ideas, test new open-source offensive security tools and improve existing ones
- Work across the stack to deliver new adversarial features from start-to-finish
- Research and monitor emerging trends and techniques in offensive tooling
You Are:
- You have demonstrated significant experience in full stack software development
- You are fluent in one or more programming experience (Golang, Python, JavaScript etc)
- You have architected, built, and operated systems to solve problems at scale
- Experience with immutable infrastructure deployments and cloud automation technologies, such as Terraform
- High level understanding of the security principles of at least one AWS, GCP, Azure
- You are able to work both independently and collaboratively
- You want to work in a fast, high growth environment
Bonus Points:
- You have developed offensive tooling
- You have knowledge of offensive security concepts
- You've lead complex projects with a team of engineers
- OCSP, CEH or similar pentesting certifications
