Job Description Summary:
The HR Business Intelligence team at PayPal is looking to hire a full stack engineer who will own the design, build and support for multiple data products and applications. We are a motivated, passionate team that focuses on building scalable self-service solutions to enable data-driven business decisions and people strategy at PayPal.

Job Description:

We're looking for a full stack engineer who is passionate about user experience and UI design to help us build full-stack web applications and data analysis pipelines to drive HR initiatives. Are you highly technical, a strong communicator, collaborative, and have great programming skills? If so, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Our team helps power PayPal's HR organization and broader senior leadership by delivering actionable insights, data products and people business intelligence at scale. Our customers include HR Ops, HR Leadership, People Analytics, Global Talent, Compensation, Biz Ops, Finance and executive leadership team.

In this role you will

  • Scope, develop and support applications that drive People Analytics and Strategy at PayPal. You will get the chance to build applications from scratch while working with the end users directly and being part of the design process
  • Develop and maintain highly reliable and scalable web services and UIs that enable users to derive insights and make business decisions
  • Understand product requirements, engage with team members and customers to define solutions
  • Deliver solutions that can keep up with a rapidly evolving environment in a timely fashion
  • Collaborate with, mentor, and influence members within your team and across other teams at PayPal


Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience with web front-end development technologies (such as ReactJS, AngularJS, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS, etc.); experience with ReactJS preferred
  • Bachelor's degree(B.S) or Masters (M.S) in Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Experience with RESTful API usage and development
  • User focused with design thinking mindset and experience with visualizations, dashboards, and reports
  • Experience with relational databases, Tableau or other data visualization tools, experience with AWS/GCP cloud environments is a bonus
  • Strong understanding of how to optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical capabilities
  • Excellent oral and written interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, dedicated and solution-oriented individual
