Overview

Come join the "IIS Infrastructure Security Team" as a "Software Engineer 2".

The Software Engineer 2 role is to employ a set of tools, automation activities and processes to ensure that sensitive data is not lost, misused, or accessed by unauthorized users.

What you'll bring

  • BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in security controls (Data Loss Prevention, Cloud Access Security Broker, URL filtering)
  • 2+ years experience developing web, software, or mobile applications.
  • Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application.
  • Experience with the following: LanDesk, JAMF, Python, Github, Ansible & Cloud Formation templates
  • Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • 1+ years experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST or SOAP.
  • Strong experience with any of the following: Python, Java/J2EE, AWS CloudFormation or Ansible.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Excellent problem solving skills with a history of superb delivery against assigned tasks.
  • Solid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Outstanding partnership skills.



How you will lead

  • Architecting, developing, deploying and automating SaaS and agent based security solutions
  • Evaluating vendor security solutions and conducting proof of concepts (POC's)
  • Roughly 35% hands-on coding
  • Contribute to early quality activities, including peer reviews of estimates, designs and code
  • Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
  • Partner effectively with all team members to deliver against commitments
  • Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, program management, dev-operations, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results
  • Partner effectively with our security vendors, driving issue resolution and roadmap capabilities
  • Commitment to team success and positive team dynamics
  • Passion for growing and applying technical skills in service to customers
  • Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies
