The Azure Machine Learning experiences team in Raleigh, NC is looking for a front-end software engineer who is passionate about building easy-to-use and high-performing web applications, working with customers, and listening to feedback in order to build a more amazing product. The Azure Machine Learning experiences team, part of the AI Platform organization, is responsible for building all the user facing aspects of the Azure Machine Learning service, including the Azure Machine Learning Studio web portal, our CLIs, SDKs and REST APIs. Azure Machine Learning is Microsoft's ML platform for machine learning and AI professionals, which is used for running the most demanding machine learning training and inferencing workloads at Microsoft and for our customers. You will be joining a tight-knit group of talented engineers who love solving hard problems.Responsibilities

  • You will work on the delivery of high-quality web experiences for the Azure Machine Learning product, building on top of a modern web stack of React + TypeScript.
  • Own features end-to-end, through planning, design, development, release, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to define requirements
  • Maintain code standards regarding quality, privacy, accessibility, security, documentation, etc.
  • Respond, resolve, and incorporate customer feedback with agility and obsession.
  • Troubleshoot pre-production and production issues, implement, and deploy fixes.
  • Live and contribute towards an inclusive culture.

Qualifications Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in JavaScript, React, Python, .NET, C#, or similar programming languages or platforms.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or a related field), or equivalent alternative education, skills, or practical IT work experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in web technology stacks, UI patterns, React, JavaScript, Typescript
  • Experience with single page applications
  • Experience optimizing experiences for performance and accessibility
  • Experience developing features and experiences for large-scale, customer facing applications
  • A working knowledge of REST APIs
  • Experience with maintaining live site quality.
  • Experience with Open-Source Software or Machine Learning.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse remote teams.
  • Fast-learner and passionate about solving complex and exciting problems.
