Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to join our Cloud Applications team. In this role, you will enable a team of Software Developers to design, develop, test, and deploy our suite of cloud applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills but will understand the role of a manager in a LeSS organization. We want engaging leaders to build high performing teams that can then build great products! 

Responsibilities include:

• Understanding the product backlog and the mixture of skills required to build it.

• Providing technical leadership and coaching to teams, when needed.

• Continually improving the organizational structure to optimize product development.

• Providing the resources required for teams to be successful.

• Managing up, down and across the organization to align on our goals.

• Being a strong proponent of the Agile mindset

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on development experience in an Agile environment

• Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals and software engineering best practices

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Strong understanding of Agile and the experience to back it up

Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Scrum and a manager’s role in Scrum 

• LeSS and a manager’s role within a LeSS organization

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

• 1+ years of hands-on development experience in an Agile environment
