What does a great Software Development Engineering, Advisor do?

The Business Service Layer application support other issuer applications by serving as a middleware service layer where business logic is stored and returned to user interfaces. Keeping this applications up to date with compliance regulations is mandatory for Fiserv. This position is to support the initial build out, development and maintenance for this application. Responsibilities and Experience Needed:

The responsibilities include work in research projects to adopt new technologies, adapt our current framework to support new business requirements, collaborate with application teams to troubleshoot complex development problems, collaborate with architects and business analysts on the design of new solutions, collaborate with operations in the resolution of production incidents and evangelize application teams on the adoption of best practices and tools. To successfully accomplish that, the engineer must quickly acquire a deep knowledge of a variety of complex distributed systems and the interactions between them. A high level of technical and communication skills, as well as personal responsibility, autonomy and prioritization skills are required.
