A Typical Day
The SDET Manager will lead a team of test automation engineers responsible for creating and maintaining test automation frameworks, testing tools, and test data management tools. As the SDET Manager, you will bring a strong technical background in test automation, excellent leadership skills, and experience working with agile development methodologies.
The SDET Manager will:

  • Lead the team in the design, development, and maintenance of test automation frameworks and tools using Javascript, Node.js, Python, Selenium, and SauceLabs
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that test automation is integrated into the overall software development process
  • Coach and mentor team members to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Ensure that the team follows best practices in test automation, including proper test design, code quality, and documentation
  • Work closely with Product Owners to define acceptance criteria for user stories and ensure that they are properly tested
  • Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve the test automation process and implement solutions to increase efficiency and quality
  • Monitor and report on the progress of the team, identifying any issues and taking corrective action as necessary
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews and retrospectives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values


What You'll Bring

  • Experience leading and inspiring software development teams
  • Expertise in the following technologies and tools: Javascript/Node.js, Python, Selenium, and SauceLabs. Java experience is also desirable but not required
  • Expertise on common test automation tools and best practices
  • Experience with Git and GitLab CI/CD very desirable
  • Experience working in a complex multi-developer/multi-site environment
  • Strong background in test automation, with particular focus on web applications and APIs. Experience with event-driven architecture is also desirable

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

  • Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
  • Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
  • Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role


Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
