The Software Development Engineer serves as a developer and technical collaborator to drive continuous improvement in testing code practices. By driving large scale development efforts in an agile environment, the Software Development Engineer optimizes Ally's QA capabilities that interact with our customers daily.

The Work Itself
• Leverage expertise to develop, improve, and maintain high-quality automated testing across the full solution stack
• Optimize legacy & new program code by driving large scale development and testing efforts in an agile environment
• Engage with business partners, product teams, developers, and QA to create world-class customer experiences
• Actively monitor post-release metrics to identify defects
• Drive continuous improvement through coaching, test review processes, and round table discussions

The Skills You Bring
• 5+ years of experience within Technology ; previous Software Development experience preferred
• Knowledge of quality assurance testing processes and tools including NoSQL, RDBMS, SQL, JSON and ETL
• A self-starting mentality and passion for experimentation, with interests in game-changing technology and identifying unconventional opportunities for success
• Deep knowledge and interest in IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, and their application to business opportunities
• Experience utilizing AWS Services
• Passion for creating value for both internal and external customers, and enthusiasm for Agile processes that help develop these products
• Desire to work within a diverse group of people and passion for challenging the status quo
