We are looking for an Android developer who works closely with the Sales team and with the customers to provide them solutions for their use cases. This includes quick prototyping of the features in our EMM based application or developing long term features mainly focused on background work and business logic layer, aimed at a vast number of diverse Android devices, including custom devices with varying specs. Your primary focus will be the development and maintenance of the DPC application and it’s integration with back-end services. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with the Sales and Pre-sales team.
  • Design, build and maintain features as needed by the Customers during pre-sales or post-sales phase on Java/Kotlin
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
  • Unit and Integration testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
  • Mentor team members and provide constructive feedback to improve code standards and design approaches

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering
  • 2-5 years of experience in Android software development
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
  • Strong knowledge of Android architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices
  • Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs, push notifications, mqtt and other network protocols, is preferred
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Good understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
  • Experience in developing Android Apps(Java or Kotlin)
  • Basic understanding of Android debugging concepts (Using ADB, getting logcat, Android studio debugger, etc)
  • Basic understanding of Linux/Unix and Android
  • Experience in writing unit unit or integration tests
