Software Development Dev. Ops II (Raleigh, NC) Duties:

Development, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and production updates for Agile development within a large system that is distributed across multiple servers. Develop, install, configure, troubleshoot, update. Deploy new features. Use Open Source web development frameworks. Code primarily in Java. Develop new capabilities to streamline the operations of our customer-facing account management team. Coordinate the preparation and execution of production system upgrades. Use scripting languages like Python, Ruby, or Perl. Use object oriented programming fundamentals and design patterns. Work with relational and NoSQL database systems. Develop in a Linux/Unix environment and computer networks and IP-based network protocols.

Required: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math or related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or similar software development positions. 

Must have 3 years of experience with Java. Must have 1 year of experience with Python, Ruby or Perl scripting languages; Relational Databases or NoSQL Database Systems; and developing in a Linux/Unix environment for deployment/production support. 

In the alternate, will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math or related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or similar software development positions.  Must have 3 years of experience in Java. Must have 1 year of  experience with Python, Ruby or Perl scripting languages; Relational Databases or NoSQL Database Systems; and developing in a Linux/Unix environment for deployment/production support.
