Job Summary

Our Digital AECOM Hosted Services team is focused on building innovative, cloud-hosted solutions that deliver exceptional value in how we service our clients with increasing efficiency and speed while decreasing operational cost. Our team is uniquely placed to harness both modern and burgeoning technologies throughout our industry, supporting AECOM's global customers residing in more than 150 countries.

This will be a remote/virtual position that can be based from a variety of US locations, not limited to those listed. Note that key members of this team are located in Chicago, IL and as such, some travel (20% or less) to Chicago may be needed.

We are growing our team, looking for skilled, ambitious, and enthusiastic full-stack developers, with emphasis on front-end development, to join our Digital AECOM Hosted Services team. As a full-stack developer, you will join a talented, experienced software development team building AECOM digital products that leverage data through cloud IaaS/PaaS, JavaScript frameworks, backend services, systems integrations, and numerous types of data stores.

Full Stack Developer (Emphasis on Front End) Job Responsibilities:

Working as an important member of a dedicated development team you will:

  • Assist in the elicitation of requirements, estimating development tasks, and architecting and design of solutions, as well as production of specifications and development plans
  • Participate in Agile Scrum backlog grooming
  • Review use cases and support solution ideation
  • Write code to meet sprint plan, including development and execution of unit tests
  • Present sprint development progress to team members
  • Prepare version bulletins
  • Attend daily stand-up's
  • Ensure all software is developed in line with defined company quality processes and coding standards
  • Develop quality software to meet the requirements of product specifications and in accordance with agreed time estimates
  • Produce all code in accordance with company best practices, quality process, and coding standards
  • Perform code reviews with development team.
  • Ensure all tasks completed during the day are updated daily in a source control environment
  • Work with other development and support team members to produce the highest quality products possible.

Offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is: $50,000 to 120,000

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS plus at least 2 years of relevant software development experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • At least 2 years of Angular 8+ (or similar) JavaScript Frameworks
  • CSS/SCSS
  • Azure SQL Server (or similar) relational database development
  • Microsoft C# .Net (Core)
  • Good knowledge of SQL, SQL Server, and NoSQL
  • Experience developing responsive design web applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Systems integration (REST API)
  • Proven track record of software development working on commercial software products
  • Excellent communication and established team working skills
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies
  • Experience with Karma/Jasmine for Angular unit testing
  • Experience of Microsoft Entity Framework
  • Experience with micro services architectures
  • Experience with Rabbit MQ/Mass Transit
  • Experience with Azure (or Big 3 comparative) PaaS services
  • Experience working with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and or GIT
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile methods such as Scrum/Extreme Programming, and conducting code reviews
  • Experience with DevOps and continuous integration methodologies
  • Experience with single sign on Authorities and other back-office systems
  • Security, penetration testing / OWASP
  • Publish and subscribe architectures
  • Familiar with design patterns such as Singleton, Factory, etc.
  • Experience with Signal-R
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or Engineering.
