SAIC is seeking a Software Developer, in Herndon, VA, to work closely with customer Program Managers and a small team of software developers to accelerate system and application developmentThe successful candidate works side-by-side with the other team members comprised of world class Machine Learning Engineers, System Architects, Software Developers, Cloud Engineers, Cyber Engineers, and Multimedia Specialists to lead the customer in developing new technical solutions.
Job responsibilities include:
- Work within the team to develop new and enhance existing systems and applications
- Produce efficient and elegant code based on requirements
- Test and deploy programs and applications
- Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software
- Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance
- Proactively seek opportunities to use process improvement and re-engineering methodologies to facilitate improvements to team processes
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
- Minimum of 8 years of technical expertise , preferably in software development supporting the Intelligence Community
- Proficient in Python, Django
- Competent in JavaScript, Terraform
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's STEM degree from an accredited institution
- Experience with: DevOps(Jenkins), AWS Systems Architecture, ML Integration, and/or Security and vulnerability mitigation
- Strong organizational, time-management, and verbal / written communication skills
- Knowledgeable of Agile practices and the use of JIRA
- Capability to adapt to fluid situations and prioritize tasking in a dynamic environment
