Job Duties:
- As a software developer with the FlashSystem team, you will:
- Develop back-end storage software features and create APIs to enable plugins and automation, with a keen focus on end-user experience
- Collaborate with a squad of 6-8 engineers to design, develop, test and maintain high quality software that you feel a strong sense of ownership for
- Use technologies and industry-standard tools such as C, Java, Git, Ansible, Python, Jenkins, and Docker
- Take advantage of a wide range of benefits on offer to IBM employees, and make use of the fantastic facilities at IBM's Westheimer Office location
- Grow your technical career, with established paths to become Senior Staff and Distinguished Engineer

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Demonstrated experience completing projects coding in at least one of Java, C or Python
- A solid grasp of and passion for good software engineering practices, either from your professional experience or education
- Evidence of working effectively in highly-collaborative, technical environments
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Experience with Design Thinking methodologies
- Knowledge of UX/User research concepts
