Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking for an Associate Level Software Developer to join our Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT&DA) Team in North Charleston, SC., Tukwila, WA., Kent, WA., Philadelphia, PA., Seal Beach, CA., or Hazelwood, MO.
This exciting opportunity is with the Digital Common Services - Integration Solutions Service (DCS-ISS) organization, securely connecting global stakeholders to mission-critical data!
This position is for a Software Developer, and will be focused on Microservices Application Development and Application Integration using a toolkit that includes APIM, Streaming, SOA/Orchestration, Blockchain, Managed File Transfer, and more. The ideal candidate will be a resourceful self-starter as well as love tinkering, discovery, and continuously learning of new technologies.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Designs, programs, tests, implements, documents and maintains computing applications
  • Gathers and evaluates end user requirements
  • Writes and compiles code and constructs database objects based on documented design and analyzes information to determine architecture specifications, parameters for software compatibility, application security needs and other application architecture requirements
  • Modifies or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality. Identifies and resolves programming or application architecture problems
  • Reviews system performance and identifies and recommends improvements
  • Supports metric development and application to support quality in delivery and sustainment
  • Operates using Agile methodologies (Scrum / SAFe®), both independently and as a team


This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Software Development experience using Java
  • Experience operating in an Agile environment (Scrum / SAFe®), both independently and as a team
  • Experience supporting application data management and integration with various technologies including but not limited to Java, Javascript, SQL, JSON, XML, XSLT


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with cloud, containerization, and microservices development
  • Experience building end-user facing products, including UI/UX optimization and JSAngular
  • Familiarity with Maven, Nexus, JSReact, .Net, SonarQube, Coverity


Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.)
