Job Description
Seeking smart, self-motivated, well-rounded test automation software engineers who excel at solving problems and seeking to improve processes in innovative ways. Must value teamwork and communication. Will work closely with other test automation engineers assigned to other teams to ensure consistency and reliability of automation efforts. Will also work closely with manual Quality Assurance Analysts to ensure automation adequately covers software features. Must be adept at learning new technologies quickly. Duties will include designing, developing, and maintaining test automation to ensure high quality for a robust public safety software package written in Visual C++, Java, and C#.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, design, document and perform tests for software and hardware products Design and implement to improve test automation infrastructure’s reliability, scalability, performance, and repeatability of setup and deployment
Design and develop tools or simulators to facilitate testing for software and hardware products
Develop, maintain and execute automated tests for software and hardware products
Identify, reproduce and report actual or potential product defects
Provide detailed configuration, reproduction steps, and descriptions for defect tracking
Asist product development engineers in the diagnosis and replication of product failures
Debug, model and characterize product performance and scalability
Create and maintain documentation on test and development operations
Liaise between product development teams to ensure accuracy of process and product quality
Help establish, document and enforce standards, procedures, and specifications for test automation frameworks.
Work closely with Quality Analysts to assess test coverage, and to triage test failures.
Work closely with a distributed global team of engineers also working on test automation.
Organize and participate in software design and code reviews.
Collaborate designs with team members in order to find the solution that best fits the requirements.
Consult with customers and co-workers in a professional manner.
Desired Experience:
Experience in Java, or C#
Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Ranorex, Selenium, Protractor
Experience with REST API
Proficient on Linux and Windows platforms
Familiar with XML, HTML, Perl, C++
Knowledgeable of Object Oriented Programming techniques
Experience with load testing methodologies and tools a plus

Basic Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
1+ years of related experience
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
