ServiceNow Software Architect

As a Software Architect within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Birmingham, AL.
Job Description
Ideal candidate will have working expertise and success as a ServiceNow Architect and will have extensive knowledge of the ServiceNow platform foundational architecture and offerings. This individual will have experience leading implementation of solutions on the ServiceNow platform ad be expected to delivery quality solutions on the platform using ServiceNow best practices and following guidance of the Enterprise Architecture Guiding principles. The Architect will design solutions and options to business partners to select the most appropriate solution architecture with the goal of meeting targeted business outcomes.
- Service as the ServiceNow Expert with extensive knowledge of the platform foundational architecture and offerings
- Lead platform upgrades and patching to maintain a stable and current platform for the enterprise
- Service as a liaison between the platform team, architecture, business partners, and stakeholders to design and implement best in class solutions necessary to achieve business outcomes
- Manage and maintain ServiceNow platform architecture diagrams
- Determine gaps between business requirements and product capability and define workable solutions to bridge the gaps
- Develop reference architectures and best practices for ServiceNow solutions
- Provide consulting, design and deployment services for enterprise ITSM integration and enhancements to deliver best in class solutions
- Expand ServiceNow capability and use of new modules that will enable the enterprise to drive platform value ultimately delivery process optimization and automation
- Design and deploy ServiceNow solutions involving all modules of ServiceNow
- Participates in defining functional designs and application systems architecture across all technologies and platforms.
- Designs an application's technical infrastructure, such as specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches.
- Participates in the assessment of software defects discovered during the quality assurance process.
- Participates in addressing enterprise-wide platform and technology requirements for applications.
- Develops detailed programming instructions to solve business problems through automation support.

Products and Services - Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Service Oriented Architecture Technologies - Knowledge of the technologies used to enable excellent IT service for business clients; ability to develop, implement and support a variety of such technologies.
Software Process Improvement (SPI) - Knowledge of formal software process improvement disciplines, and ability to assess and improve the quality and operating costs associated with an existing application.
Work Experience
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
