Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking for a Mid Career Level Software Architect to join our Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT&DA) Team in North Charleston, SC., Tukwila, WA., Kent, WA., Philadelphia, PA., Seal Beach, CA., or Hazelwood, MO.
This position is for a Software Architect (Computing Architect), and will be focused on delivering business value outcomes from Application Integration and Development using a toolkit that includes Microservices, APIM, Streaming, SOA/Orchestration, Blockchain, Managed File Transfer, and more. The ideal candidate will be a resourceful self-starter that is able to manage a wide breadth of competing priorities, and is eager make a difference by identifying and executing new opportunities that further Boeing Information Technology.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Defines requirements and designs and verifies routine architecture, data and information management systems and components.
  • Prepares design constraints and ensures architecture conforms to requirements. Incorporates architecture functions into software development lifecycle.
  • Develops and maintains architecture views and models.
  • Performs assessments of feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives.
  • Performs assessment of product suitability for integration into delivery system environments.
  • Drafts data and information management products and service standards.
  • Assists with assessment of impact of architectural decisions to product lifecycle.
  • Supports metric development and management to support quality in delivery and sustainment.
  • Operates using Agile methodologies (Scrum / SAFe®), both independently and as a team.


This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Track record of solving business needs with Information Technology Systems and Integration delivery
  • Experienced with Technical Writing, Process Analysis, Systems Analysis, and Design Standards
  • Data Fluency and management, including data architecture, mapping, and transformation modeling
  • Successfully operates in an Agile environment (Scrum / SAFe®), both independently and as a team


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Hands-on Experience with Cloud, Containerization, and Microservices Architectures and Frameworks
  • Hands-on Experience with Application Integration and/or Enterprise Software Design and Build
  • IT Systems Engineering, Architecture, and/or Development Background


Typical Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
